Granola Butter Pop-Tarts (Vegan, Gluten-Free & Nut-Free)
I lived for Pop-Tarts when I was a kid and, let me tell ya, these GB Pop-Tarts feel elevated, classy, and dare I say more delicious than the originals ๐ฑ You can use any type of filling or Granola Butter flavor with these babies - the possibilities are literally endless.
Hereโs what youโll need:
๐ฅง Pie crust (GF optional)
๐ฅง Jam (any flavor)
๐ฅง Granola Butter (any flavor)
๐ฅง 1 egg (for the egg wash) - could use a vegan alternative, as well!
๐ฅง Sprinkles (optional but super fun)
Hereโs what youโll do:
๐ฅง Preheat oven to 400
๐ฅง Cut the pie crust into rectangles (whatever size you want your Pop-Tarts to be!)
๐ฅง Arrange on a parchment lined baking sheet and add a dollop of jam to the center of ยฝ of your rectangles (reserving the other half for the โtopโ of the tart)
๐ฅง Paint egg wash around the edges of the rectangle before lining the top half of pie crust to the bottom
๐ฅง Seal edges with a fork and poke vent holes in the top of each tart
๐ฅง Cover each tart in egg wash and bake for about 15 min or until golden brown
๐ฅง Let cool (if you can stand to wait lol) before frosting with your fave Granola Butter + sprinkles
