HOMEMADE TWIX (Gluten-Free, Vegan, Nut-Free)

 

Twix but make it Granola Butter!!!

Here's what you'll need:

For the shortbread layer:

🤎 1/2 cup coconut flour

🤎 1 cup almond flour

🤎 4 tbsp coconut oil

🤎 3 tbsp maple syrup or honey

🤎 pinch salt

For the caramel layer:

🤎 2/3 c Vanilla Granola Butter

🤎 2 tbsp coconut oil

🤎 1 tsp vanilla extract

🤎 3-4 tbsp maple syrup

For the chocolate layer:

🤎 1/2 c dark choc chips

🤎 1-2 tbsp coconut oil

 

 

Here's what you'll do:

🤎 Preheat your oven to 350 f and line a 6x6 baking pan.

🤎 Combine all Shortbread Layer ingredients in a small bowl.

🤎 Place mixture in the pan and press down evenly using your hands and a spatula.

🤎 Bake for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15-20 minutes.

🤎 To make the Caramel Layer, combine all ingredients and add to a pan on low heat for 2-3 minutes.

🤎 Once the shortbread layer is cooled, spread the caramel layer evenly on top and place in the freezer for about 20 minutes or until frozen.

🤎 To make the Chocolate Layer, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil on low heat and set to the side.

🤎 Remove the pan from the freezer and spread the chocolate layer.

🤎 Freeze again for about 10 minutes or until the chocolate is fully frozen.

🤎 Cut into bars and store in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.

🤎 Optional: sprinkle with flaky salt on top!!
